About us 

Our Name

After 10 years of cleaning for a local Vancouver company my single mom felt ready to start a cleaning service of her own.  We built up the courage and began to fill out the BC Name Registration Form. In the process of choosing a business name, I asked my mom what her favorite word was and she replied “Butterfly”.  I asked her why, and she responded that when she and my dad were dating, he would gift her Butterflies all the time. And when she asked him why he would give these to her, he responded that because her name is Rosa / Rose and Butterflies always find the most beautiful flower and that to him, she was the most beautiful flower!   And that was enough for me, we filled out our form and by God’s grace we got approved. And so, we are Butterfly Cleaning Services Est. 2005.

Our Story

While starting our lives here in Vancover, and I was growing up, my mom was a single mom, and to take care of my brother and I, she cleaned homes and offices on the weekends.

I would help her and we became a mother and daughter cleaning team.

During the week, coincidently I began working for the Real Estate Board of BC, which helped us understand the differences between general home cleaning, Move-Out Cleaning, Pre-Showing and the Tenancy Board’s Strict Move Out inspection Check List for the Rental Suites.

Following that, after 10 years of rigorous-minimum wage cleaning for that cleaning company, my mom and I realized that we had enough experience, insight and passion, to work for ourselves and that could provide true professional cleaning services.  

2025 marked our “20th” year Anniversary which we embraced with a long list of wonderful long term, loyal clients, survived Covid and A+ Five Star Ratings with Google Rankings and a being featured in Embers Build a Business Program as an example of a thriving local business!

In 2020, my mom reached her Retirement, and I got to see my mom Retire with peace and love in her heart that we did it, we actually sustained our “Butterfly Cleaning”, which is still local, still family owned and operated.

With now 20 years of Residential and Janitorial Cleaning experience we continue to work here in Greater Vancouver, and we have grown in skill and techniques, and we have become Specialists and True Leaders in the cleaning industry.

One of our Trademark services is our “Moving-Out” as we were the first in BC to recognize it as an individual type of cleaning.   It is not like a residential cleaning, it is so much more.  We know exactly how to do it, what needs to be done and we do it best, Guaranteed!

We are grateful to have built excellent relationships with Top Realtors and Agencies, Property Managers and Contractors.  All of whom rightfully demand a very high level of detail, thoroughness and knowledge about cleaning products, technique and skill and they trust and hire us for the job.

In addition, in order to provide our client’s with confidence in the work we do, we have joined with Tenancy Associations. We use and diligently follow the BC Tenancy Board’s Condition Inspection Report. 

Our goal is to provide trustworthy, professional and reliable cleaning services. We aim to build long lasting relationships, and we genuinely care for each and every single client we have and we care about you too. 

We believe that we are a community, together we are better and we can all take part in making our city great, we do it by cleaning one home and space at a time.
